Debordieu...Lucille Ruby Calhoun Hinson, age 92, of Luvan Boulevard, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Hinson was born in Conway, a daughter of the late James Alexander and Julia Maize Sessions Calhoun. She attended Columbia College and received a teaching degree from Coastal Carolina College. Mrs. Hinson was a school teacher with Horry County Public Schools for over 22 years. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, James, Thurman, Conrad, and Raymond Calhoun; six sisters, Julia Mae Hughes, Lila Glasgow, Edna Small, Mamie Freeland, Roberta Thompson, and Chloe Dannelly. Mrs. Hinson loved her family, friends and most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Wendell Edwin Hinson of Debordieu; two sons, Keith C. Hinson (Dixie) and Charles A. Hinson (Kathy) all of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Karen H. Ligon (Tom) of Debordieu Colony; eight grandchildren, Brook H. Walker (Kenan), Kaitland H. McCutcheon (Jay), Christopher K. Hinson, Katie H. Lewis (Cody), Courtney A. Hinson, Chase A. Hinson, Callie E. Ligon, and Thomas H. Ligon; two great-granchildren, Emmie Walker and Kenan Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Conway with Rev. Tom Brittain officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
